If you would like to visit Streatham Wells Primary School, please phone the school office during school hours to make an appointment.
Admissions Criteria
Streatham Wells is a community school with a Nursery offering education to children from 3 to 11 years. Should our school be oversubscribed the admissions criteria, as laid down by the local authority, will be applied as follows:
- those children who have a brother or sister (sibling) attending the school
- children for whom we are the nearest school
- children for whom we are not the nearest school
To apply for a primary school place after 1st September 2010 for Reception to Year 6, please contact Lambeth Schools Admissions Team, CYPS ERAA Service, 4th Floor, International House, Canterbury Crescent, London, SW9 7QE, (phone 020 7926 9503) or go to the One Stop Shop, Ground Floor, International House, Canterbury Crescent, London, SW9 7QE (Mon-Thurs 9.30am - 4.30pm; Fri 11am – 4.30pm) and ask for an IN-YEAR COMMON APPLICATION FORM.
Admission to our Nursery School
Children are able to start in our Nursery class after their third birthday. When they start we need to see a birth certificate or document to confirm their date of birth.
We have a waiting list so it is important to make sure you have applied in advance should you wish your child to receive Nursery education at Streatham Wells. Places offered are for either morning or afternoon sessions. There are also a limited number of full-time places.
Many children transfer from our Nursery to our Reception class but this is not automatic and a separate application has to be made to the Local Authority.
You are most welcome to visit our Nursery. Please contact our School Office to arrange a visit and to obtain details of admission criteria, an application form and a more comprehensive guide to our Nursery.
