We do not have a school uniform, but we suggest that your child wears clothing that is comfortable, appropriate to the weather and suitable for school activities. For instance, when children have PE lessons they should wear clothes that they can easily manage themselves. Similarly, younger children should wear clothing that does not delay them when they need to go to the toilet. (We keep a small supply of clothes for children to change into in the event of an accident.)
Aprons are available for painting, cooking and other messy activities. However, mishaps do sometimes occur and, for your peace of mind and for your child’s benefit, it is advisable that best clothes are not worn at school.
Please mark all clothing – including coats – with your child’s name; we are not insured to cover loss or damage to personal belongings on school premises and we cannot accept liability for lost clothes, but if they are named we will do our best to trace them.
Jewellery, such as rings, necklaces and bracelets, should not be worn to school. If your child has pierced ears, please use small, smooth studs or small sleeper type earrings. We request this in the interest of your child’s safety.
Money, toys and other personal possessions should not be brought into school. If your child needs to bring money in for any reason, it should be given to the teacher or school administration officer (in a clearly marked envelope) for safe keeping.
